The Space:
#StayinMyDistrict Stay in My District Family Friendly 2 bedroom-2 bath Home! This private home in the heart of Sellwood! Live like a local and experience a vibrant SE Portland neighborhood! Known for its “walkability” and “friendly neighborhood feel”! Walk (1 block) to local hotspots, nightlife, dining, coffee, & boutique shops. This 2 bed, 2 bath two level home with hardwood floors and original woodwork. Historical charm and modern updates in the kitchen make this gorgeous home a comfortable space to relax. Formal dining area, a kitchen bar, and cozy living area—there is definitely plenty of space to spread out. . Features include Fully Stocked Kitchen, FREE off street parking and a lovely private backyard to enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine.
The first floor bedroom features a comfortable full sized bed with an attached full bathroom with shower.
The second bedroom UPSTAIRS features a comfortable King-size bed, with a dresser and space for storage of clothing and personal items. Windows throughout the home let tons of natural light in.
The second full bath is on the first level as well, featuring a shower and bathtub combo. Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, paper products and a hair dryer are provided for your traveling convenience!
The lovely and bright kitchen is fully stocked and has plenty of counter space. The newer appliances will make cooking enjoyable! Full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, & stove as well as a coffee maker, kettle, and toaster oven. All utensils & cookware are included to make eating in, convenient and efficient.
Formal dining area features spacious dining table with four comfortable chairs. The large dining table made from natural wood creates a warm atmosphere for enjoying meals at home. There is also an additional bar area off the kitchen counter with four bar stools.
The living room has a comfortable loveseat as well as a futon for curling up with a blanket and a book, or a relaxing night of movies. Grab a seat in the comfortable chair for lounging and reading a book from the shelves, or play with your kiddos with the provided toys.
***PLEASE NOTE There is no Television in the home. There is free wifi.

Guest Access:
Guest has access to the entire home and a entire private fenced backyard with a playset. There is designated parking on the property for up to (1) vehicle as well as FREE street parking. There is a washer and dryer in the home available for guest use with access through outside basement door.
The Neighborhood:
The Sellwood District is a popular Southeast Portland neighborhood. Historic Sellwood-Moreland boasts an array of shops, vintage vendors and restaurants, as well as a rambling wildlife refuge — all just minutes from downtown. Sellwood is a popular destination neighborhood located in the City of Portland, situated on the east bank of the Willamette River near the southern tip of Ross Island. The house is located in the heart of everything and one could easily get by without a car and find tons to do within walking distance. The eclectic shops, eateries, and nightlife of historic Sellwood will be calling your name. 1-3 blocks in either direction will lead you to food, drink and shopping. The river and local parks are also very close by!
The neighborhood offers specialty retail, antiques, grocery and hardware stores, banks, dry cleaners as well as tons of restaurants and a seasonal farmers market are concentrated in two historic commercial districts.
Approximately two miles in length and a mile wide, the teardrop-shaped area is rich in natural and recreational amenities. This includes four public parks,Westmoreland, Sellwood, Sellwood Riverfront and Johnson Creek, hiking paths at the Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge, a public golf course, the Springwater Corridor bicycle/pedestrian- only thoroughfare and the city’s second oldest Parks & Recreation center.
Antique Lovers, take note. Sellwood is known for it’s antiquing! The peaceful, walkable retail stretches of the historic Sellwood-Moreland district are a throwback to the pre-Internet era of shopping, and pack enough surprises to turn anyone into a collector. A magnet for antique and collectible hunters, the neighborhood is home to vintage vendors who stock both mid-century treasures and flea-market finds.
Getting Around:
To have an authentic Portland experience, there is no need to leave the neighborhood. Shopping, dining and entertainment are abundant. This is a very urban area convenient for walking, biking or using public transportation. Portland also has a wonderful Bike Share BIKETOWN located all over Portland Metro. There is FREE street parking on the side of the main house right by the gate to the studio. It would be easy to get by without a car as the neighborhood is walk-able and bike-able. Restaurants and all amenities within 3 blocks. Public transportation is safe and easy to use. Bicycles are easy to rent through the Bike town program or local bicycle shops.
Other Things to Note:
Portland City Code requires that we keep a log with the Name, Address and Vehicle Information for ALL adult guests. This will be required before check in. If you are renting a vehicle, we will need the License Plate number or we will need to note alternate transportation (ie; air, train, bike). Please provide this information with your confirmed booking and check that you are booked for the correct number of guests.

~ Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.
~ Housekeeping is required and provided every 15 days for an additional charge on all stays over 15 nights.
